Welcoming in 2006

New Years in downtown Fort Myers. More on this later.

Jon and I spent the 2005-2006 change over in downtown Fort Myers. The square pictured above was filled with people and there's even a ball if you look close enough that's attached to the fire truck. They definitely dropped the ball a good 2 minutes before midnight and then threw, yes threw by hand, confetti over the crowd.

After nearly getting swung at and beer poured all over manuvering around DT Fo.Mo. We left and travelled down through the nasty, nasty fog to Friday's. We were hungry and it was open — good combo.

Now we're back and just chillin'. Sadly, only a couple more days left. Then, I get the privilege of going back to cold, cold Ohio. I checked the weather today just to see what I was going back to and saw that it's not too bad right now, but will be back to snowing temperatures the day I return. Hopefully, I can make it in without any problems.
