Christmas Update

Well... I have been meaning to do this for several days, and just have not had the energy.

I am sitting in Jon Faro's apartment in sunny, warm, Ft. Myers, Florida. I've been here for a week now and still have a week to go. It's been great. We've basically stayed up late playing video games and then just slept in the next day.

I spent Christmas with his brother and their family. It was fun. Jon has a nephew and a niece who were both excited about Christmas. It was a good time. We all went to the Christmas Eve service of a large church down here. It made me miss The Chapel. I was forced to laugh and think of how great we have it in that despite having a orchestra/rhythm section, they still used tracks for all of their bigger songs. It's also a Southern Baptist church which made me laugh a lot - just because I haven't been in a Baptist service for a while. Nothing wrong with Baptists, just haven't been in that environment for a while and certain things make me laugh.

Jon and I are still trying to figure out exactly what to do for our New Year's celebration. Miami is still a thought, but probably not gonna happen. Who knows!

That's all for now. I'll try to keep this thing a bit more updated. I know I'm sucking at that.

This is a short post, cuz it's WAY late; I seem to be seeing this time way too much lately.

So, tonight was concert 1 of 6. Went very well. Spent the last 2 weeks gearing up for this. After 2 sets of lenses, a screen that arrived after it was supposed to :) (no hard feelings), and a near disaster with our set designer hanging things on a truss that wasn't supposed to be touched, we had a very successful opening show.

The greatest compliment was from a friend of the 'rents. She said "Wow. This was the first one. I thought you had concerts last week too." Nice. Fooled them all.

Now to bed and up to do homework in the morning. Hopefully, I can get all that done before Tuesday......
