Total opposite of last week...

So, the last few days I've been home sick. I hate being sick. There are few things more annoying to me. Especially, when I have no idea why I'm sick. I can't tell what it's from, but at least now it's beginning to feel like it's going away.

I've had the time to catch up on watching everything on my DVR as well as watching the first season of lost. It's become another house show. It's moving it's way up on the scale of shows that we all take the time to watch together. No where near 24, but definitely become a priority. I never really gave it a chance, but the storylines are actually well written out.

Well, back to the life of trying to get better.

Ok, in my last post I warned of the insane weekend.

I'm on the other side, but still recovering. After moving a festival show indoors (to a church sanctuary) and having to wait on the main act (tobyMac) for an additional 3 hours the next day, we only opened doors and started the show a half-hour late. The show was GREAT! Family Force 5 was again awesome and the Elms and Jeff Anderson rocked. However, in my 4 years of production work at Cedarville, I was never as close to the artists as I was on Friday. I sat 10 feet away from the whole show. One of my friends leaned over in the middle of an intimate moment Toby was having with the crowd and said, "I should so pull a Terry Tait." I nearly rolled onto the center of the stage right then and there. But that's how close we were. If you wanna see pictures, visit here. These are by my friend and co-worker John. He's amazing with a camera.

From there we packed them up, I came home and packed up and went to see the Brightwell-Wilson wedding in SC. Good times. Random Jillians in Columbia was fun. Faro and I had a great catching up time, but short and fast. Flew home. Slept through most of Monday then back to school and work.

That's all for now!

Where is Kevin?

ok, Gumm... I'll post......

So, where has Kevin been over the last month? I'll give you the skinny...

The last time I wrote, I had just finished the Willow Creek Leadership Summit. Good times, good speakers, good topics. From there, different people from the department that I work in took vacation for the next couple weeks. That means that I pick up some of their tasks as well. On top of that, fall programming has begun to pick up at The Chapel. This means that activities are getting added left and right to the web site and that's my job. On top of that, I've tried to spend more time with high school students outside of the church building. (Go Bulldogs!)

So, that's been my craziness. I haven't forgot about blogging, just am too tired by the time that I finally reach my bed at the end of the night. (This seems to be getting later ever since our third roommate moved in... many more Halo 2 nights, oh well).

Now to the fun...

I have a crazy weekend that begins on Thursday. We begin setup for my first show in 17 months on Thursday morning. The Chapel's Senior High Ministries is hosting Family Force 5, The Elms, Jeff Anderson, and tobyMac. The stage gets set on Thursday and the bands roll in at 8:00am on Friday. From there, we do sound check/show until probably 11:30pm? Then I have an 8:00am flight from CAK to South Carolina for a wedding! Staying in SC on Saturday night, then flying back on Sunday. Monday... that's vacation!

I also began classes again. I feel SO overwhelmed right now. I have so much to do and am far behind already (my first class was this past Fri/Sat). Yes, behind already. Oh well.

What else has happened.... hmmm... can't think of anything else right now event wise...

I bought the new Switchfoot CD today. Excellent. I even upgraded for the "dualdisc" version which has the album in 5.1 dvd audio. nothing like having a band play completely around you. it's amazing.

All right... off to bed, need some sleep for the weekend. please comment, pass along the blog to others (i've done a horrible publicity job). i'll try to blog in SC, but no promises. i may pass out before i get the chance.
